Construction
Build your future in construction at Riverland
Riverland’s Construction programs prepare you for hands-on careers in the building trades. Choose from two paths: carpentry or electrical. You’ll train in real-world settings, building homes and wiring real projects, and gain the skills employers are hiring for right now.
Carpentry
Build real homes from the ground up. Start with the one-year residential diploma, then continue into the two-year commercial program.
A one-year, hands-on start where you build real homes in the community. Learn building codes, blueprint reading, framing, and deck construction, and start with your own toolbelt provided through local partnerships.
The only two-year commercial carpentry diploma in 星空无限传媒. Add steel framing, concrete forming, commercial blueprints, and OSHA 30, with job-site tech like Total Station GPS layout and ProCore, while earning credit toward becoming a Journeyman Carpenter. Graduates work as commercial carpenters, framing and formwork carpenters, estimators, and site supervisors.
Earn 1,500 apprenticeship hours. Complete both carpentry diplomas and you graduate with 1,500 hours toward your trade.
Electrical
Learn a trade that is always in demand, with a licensing edge no other 星空无限传媒 school offers.
Hands-on training in residential, commercial, and industrial wiring, reading the National Electrical Code and working on real projects like wiring a new home. Riverland is the only school in 星空无限传媒 recognized by both 星空无限传媒 and Iowa, and strong attendance earns you a full year of credit toward your electrical license.
Graduates work on construction sites, as maintenance electricians in plants, and in low-voltage and electrical sales roles. Demand stays high as current electricians retire, so this program is popular and fills fast. Ask about the waitlist.
